Library promotions and displays have become politically charged in many school districts. Whether your district is trying to dissuade you from celebrating cultural months, or prohibiting the use of certain buzz words, this session will provide practical tips to help librarians promote diversity and culture with “both” months “and” all year long with universal themes. Various diversity audit tools including MPS’ new ARCS (Anti-racist and Culturally sustaining) Rubric will be presented.
