The MLLN participates with a national network of library professional development organizations through the Professional Development Alliance (PDA). The following calendar reflects not only Minnesota-offered professional learning, but also high quality, no-cost options from our partners in the PDA.

The Professional Development Alliance (PDA) is a group of library consortia that are part of the International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC). The MLLN is represented by Minitex within ICOLC. The goal of the PDA is to multiply the number of online professional development opportunities available to library staff by making select online PD freely available to all participating members. Members include such consortia as CARLI (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois), NC LIVE (North Carolina’s statewide library cooperative), SEFLIN (South East Florida Library Network), and more!

As a PDA member, MLLN is able to both share our online professional development opportunities with other alliance members across the country and to offer our own members access to select professional development options hosted by other PDA consortia. Select PDA webinars and online learning opportunities are freely available to library workers at all Minnesota library institutions and organizations, and can be easily found on our events calendar!

If you find a past event on the calendar for which you’d like the recording, contact us and we will do our best to track it down for you!
